Is Camelback Mountain Right for You?

Here’s where I’m probably a little different than most companies.
I’m not going to tell everyone they should hike Camelback Mountain.
Because they shouldn’t.

This Hike IS a Great Fit If You:

Exercise regularly.
Enjoy a physical challenge.
Can comfortably hike for 3-4 hours.
Have good balance.
Don't mind using your hands while climbing over rocks.
Want to conquer one of Arizona's most iconic hikes.

This Hike May NOT Be the Best Choice If You:

Rarely exercise.
Are brand new to hiking.
Have knee, hip, ankle, or back injuries.
Have balance concerns.
Are uncomfortable with heights.
Are looking for a leisurely desert walk.

And guess what?

That's perfectly okay

We’d much rather recommend the right hike than have you spend the entire morning wondering why you listened to me.

Not everyone visits Scottsdale or Phoenix to conquer Camelback Mountain—and that’s perfectly okay.

Group Size Information

The City of Phoenix limits guided groups on Camelback Mountain to a maximum of 10 guests.

If your group is larger than 10, don't worry.

Wild Bunch Desert Guides offers several other challenging hikes throughout Phoenix and
Scottsdale that can accommodate larger private groups while providing an incredible adventure.

Bunch Desert Guides. At Wild Bunch Desert Guides, we’re not here to sell you the hardest hike—we’re here to help
you have the best hike.

Policies

Cancellation

We understand that travel plans can change, and we do our best to be fair whenever possible.

48+ hours before your tour: Receive a 100% refund.
Less than 48 hours before your tour: Reservations are non-refundable.

If you need to cancel within 48 hours, we're happy to try to help. If your schedule allows and we have availability while you're still in Arizona, we will do our best to reschedule your tour at no additional charge. While we can't guarantee a new date or time, we'll make every reasonable effort to get you out on the trail.

Thank you for understanding. As a small, locally owned business, last-minute cancellations directly impact our guides and reserved tour times.

Transportation

Pickup and drop-off from your hotel or resort is available. We collect guests 30 minutes before departure. Prefer to meet at the trailhead? Detailed directions are provided.

Pricing

Tour prices do not include taxes, a small online booking fee, or gratuity.

Weather

The owner is very conscience of weather and will take time to communicate as safety is always front of mind.
