One Mountain. Your Guide. No Compromises.
Camelback Mountain is one of the most iconic hikes in the American Southwest — and one of the most underestimated. Wild Bunch Desert Guides gives you the experience it deserves: a private, expertly led ascent with a guide dedicated entirely to you and your group.
Camelback hikes are meet-at-the-trail only. Transportation is not included or available through Wild Bunch for this hike. Your booking confirmation will provide your designated trailhead, meeting time, and arrival instructions.
Every experience with Wild Bunch is private. Whether it’s just you or a group of ten, you get a dedicated guide and an experience built around your party — no one else’s.
Here’s where I’m probably a little different than most companies.
I’m not going to tell everyone they should hike Camelback Mountain.
Because they shouldn’t.
And guess what?
We’d much rather recommend the right hike than have you spend the entire morning wondering why you listened to me.
Not everyone visits Scottsdale or Phoenix to conquer Camelback Mountain—and that’s perfectly okay.
These hikes showcase towering saguaro cactus forests, incredible mountain views, beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery, and abundant wildlife—without the technical climbing required on Camelback Mountain.
They’re perfect for couples, families, solo travelers, corporate groups, first-time hikers, and anyone who simply wants to experience the beauty of Arizona at a more comfortable pace.
If you’re not sure which hike is right for you, just call, text, or email me. I’ll ask you a few
questions and recommend the adventure that’s going to give you the best experience—not necessarily the hardest one.
The City of Phoenix limits guided groups on Camelback Mountain to a maximum of 10 guests.

Wild Bunch Desert Guides offers several other challenging hikes throughout Phoenix and
Scottsdale that can accommodate larger private groups while providing an incredible adventure.
Whether you’re planning a corporate event, convention activity, bachelor or bachelorette party, family reunion, birthday celebration, or team-building experience, we’ll recommend the perfect hike for your group.
Here’s something you’ll never hear me apologize for…
Your safety comes before the summit. Every single time.
If weather conditions become unsafe, someone in your group isn’t feeling well, or we believe turning around is the safest decision, that’s exactly what we’ll do.
I’d rather earn your trust than brag about reaching the summit at someone else’s expense.

No public hikes. No joining other groups.
No watered-down, one-size-fits-all routes.
Private guided Camelback hikes are available by reservation and can be booked online. Camelback is a strenuous, technical hike requiring strong fitness, good balance, and comfort with heights. If you are unsure whether this hike is right for you, call or text 602-663-0842 before booking. Your safety comes before the summit, and reaching the summit is never guaranteed.
We understand that travel plans can change, and we do our best to be fair whenever possible.
Camelback hikes are meet-at-the-trail only. Wild Bunch Desert Guides does not provide transportation for Camelback Mountain hikes. Your booking confirmation will identify your designated trailhead, meeting time, and arrival instructions. Please follow those details rather than navigating simply to ‘Camelback Mountain,’ which has two different trailheads. Guests must arrange their own transportation to and from the confirmed meeting location. If using Uber, Lyft, or Waymo, please check service availability for your pickup and drop-off.
Tour prices do not include taxes, a small online booking fee, or gratuity.
